For anyone who’s ever tried to make a movie, Living in Oblivion is shot to close to the heart. The film, written and directed by Tom DiCillo, is a hilarious and eerily accurate depiction of what it’s like to be on the set of an independent film. Steve Buscemi plays the director of the film as he deals with all the highs and lows of movie making on a very small scale. You don’t have to be a filmmaker to love this movie, but for those that are, you are promised to laugh a lot as well as experience a few stings of anxiety.Â

Living in Oblivion proves that to be in this business, you have to be bat-shit crazy! Long live cinema!

Much love

I will definitely watch this movie, it looks hillarious!
Carrie????
Anyway… I would do a video response for that rockin’ T but I can’t think of a single film that you wouldn’t have seen that I would have. Zippo. But I will say that I loved Buscemi’s work in the 90’s and this film in particular (except Trees Lounge has to be an all-time favorite) and I recently noticed that he’s directing episodes of Showtime’s Nurse Jackie, which I think he’s doing a pretty bang-up job at. On that note… I think I’ll go watch Mystery Train. Oh how I miss 90’s films.
Mystery Train is a personal fav of mine. And for the contest…it doen’t really matter if I have seen the film or not. It’s all in good fun. ROCK!
